Our Story


I started flipping "Bingo Burgers" at a community bingo hall in Sidney in 1986.
I started pouring beers at a tiny neighbourhood pub called "The Brig" in Brentwood Bay B.C. in 1990. I knew I loved hospitality and one day I wanted to have my own place to look after my friends, local community and serve all the things I knew they loved at a fair price.

The dream I had when I was twenty is now a reality. I love this business, I love this community and I love the idea of the wonderful times that lie ahead. All I can say is ... Welcome to Jo's Pender. We are going to feed you well.

Each Benny is stacked high on an english muffin with medium poached AAA extra large eggs and our rich, made from scratch, hollandaise.  Served with seasoned hashbrowns.  $4 off for ½ orders.


The Wilbur

Thick sliced honey ham and house hollandaise.

Two Egg Breakfast $14.95

Two AAA large eggs, seasoned hashbrown potatoes, your choice of pork sausage patty, smoked applewood bacon or ham served with multigrain toast or English muffin. Substitute two pancakes instead of hashbrowns and toast $.50


The Benny Burger $17.95

Grilled chicken, beef patty, or black bean veggie patty topped with crisp smoked applewood bacon, a medium poached egg, mozzarella cheese and a dollop of house hollandaise. Served with hashbrown potatoes or salad.

We use lots of different topping and ingredients. Our cheese blend is a mix of mozzarella and edam.


Any allergies, dietary requirements or concerns please let us know so we can accommodate accordingly.
